“…It’s also plausible that he’s only dabbling in fascism, the way he dabbled in acting, professional wrestling, and lest we forget, politics. Seriously — high stakes businessmen are easily bored and like to dabble. They like to try out stuff and see what sticks. Like big spenders at the roulette table, they hedge, and play the field. They have no particular allegiances — either to God, country, or party. Trump regularly donated to Democrats and Republicans in the same election. He flip-flops — on abortion rights, the Iraq war, bombing Syria, liking Paul Ryan — both to maintain dominance, and for self-preservation. He stays “flexible” and unpredictable, on everything from what he’ll tweet to foreign policy.”
